Custodian, Active Living Centre
Fulltime, Permanent, 40 hours per week
Flexible work hours may include some evenings and weekends


North York Seniors Centre provides programs and services to promote the physical, emotional and social well-being of adults 55+ living in our diverse community.

This position reports to the Manager, Active Living Centre.

 Perform regular scheduled cleaning and maintenance of NYSC facilities
 Service and make minor repairs at NYSC facilities and equipment
 Daily room set-up and take down
 Maintain a monthly inventory of equipment and supplies
 Perform preventative maintenance duties
 Participate in continuous quality improvement processes and assist with research and development of best practices in facility maintenance
 Promote and maintain a high standard of client-centred customer service

Qualifications/ Skills:
 2+ years cleaning and general maintenance experience
 Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs
 Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair
 Grounds keeping experience
 Good oral and written skills in English
 Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
 Health and Safety training including WHMIS
 Current First Aid and CPR certification
 Valid G class driver’s license, an asset
