Creating affordable homes for people in need at 65 Dundas St. E.

The City of Toronto is purchasing the property at 65 Dundas St. E. to respond to the urgent need for permanent affordable homes.

“Dixon Hall is excited to be part of this transition from emergency shelter to supportive housing, which is the first of its kind in our city,” says Dixon Hall’s CEO, Mina Mawani. “This is an urgent need, and we are proud to be partnering with the City of Toronto to provide supportive and affordable rental units to those who are impacted by poverty and to ensure that everyone has a warm, safe place to call home.”

This new housing project will provide approximately 280 individuals with deeply affordable rental homes and Dixon Hall will support residents in their transition from homelessness, mental health and addiction challenges. The transition to permanent supportive housing will happen over the coming years.

We are pleased to share additional information as the project progresses through our collaborations with the city.
