Help give the gift of Music.
For the past 43 years, Dixon Hall Music School has been a warm, accessible, and welcoming place for children and youth in Regent Park and surrounding neighbourhoods. It has been a space for students to learn and craft their music skills, but more than that, it’s been a place for them to feel at home.
Due to the pandemic, we had to cancel our annual Music for Life gala this past November, where we generally raise over $150K; the revenue from the event allows us to keep the music school operating, and support our students through their musical journeys and adolescents.
Dixon Hall Music School receives no government support, and is entirely reliant on the generosity of our community. This year, the Slaight Family Foundation has generously donated $25,000 to help kick-start our Music is Life campaign. If we can raise an additional $50,000 from our donors, the Foundation will contribute another $25,000.
Please consider giving generously to give our students a chance to be creative, to wonder, to work, and to know they have the support of a community.
