Hayley’s Musical Journey
Each year, our Music School must say goodbye to some of our students as they head off to their post secondary studies.
This June, we’re wishing Hayley – a wonderfully kind and mature young woman who has been an excellent student over the past 11 years – the best of luck as she pursues her dream of becoming a music therapist at Wilfred Laurier University.
For years, Hayley has performed at our recitals and has had perfect or near perfect attendance despite a packed school extra-curricular schedule. And along the way, she’s even become a leader and concertmaster in our first ever string orchestra where she plays first violin.
Hayley’s shiningly generous spirit and caring nature have led her to work with developmentally challenged youth in her spare time, where she loves to use her musical skills to help others. If you’ve ever had the chance to meet Hayley, you’d know that her decision to pursue a career in music therapy is a natural and fitting path for her.
We have no doubt that Hayley will rise to the challenges of post-secondary studies and excel, as she has done all through the 11 years we have known her. We’re going to miss you Hayley!
