What is Our Fair Share Farmers Market?
Our Fair Share is a sustainable Pay-What-You-Choose (PWYC) community farmers market that is affordable and equitable. Rising food costs are affecting us all, and we are on a mission to make sure everyone can access the food they deserve.
Dixon Hall is collaborating with FoodShare’s Good Food Markets and other food security organizations to bring seasonal, local produce when available to the communities we serve, as well as imported staples. Come get an assortment of produce, and you choose your price!
Why do we offer Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) pricing?
Everyone has a right to healthy food, and we want to empower everyone to choose how much you pay. You are welcome to pay:
- Minimum $5
- Market Rate of $20
- Any amount in between (While quantities last)
If you can pay more, it helps offset the cost for others.
You are also welcome to donate to someone else’s basket. All proceeds from the market will be directed back to the cost of food. A PWYC pricing model is the basis for a more equitable and just food system where we can all get our fair share!
Market Schedule
Offered every other Thursday, outdoors at 190 Carlton Street and indoors at 188 Carlton during inclement weather.
