Dixon Hall’s Dixonlicious 2026 Celebrates Community, Food Access, and Connection

June 11, 2026, Dixon Hall welcomed guests, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters to Dixonlicious 2026, an evening in support of Dixon Hall’s Food Programs. The annual culinary event brought people together to enjoy food, beverages, entertainment, and conversation while raising support for neighbours experiencing food insecurity in Downtown East Toronto. This year, providing 35,000 meals for the community.

The evening opened with welcome remarks from Board Chair Cameron Scrivens and Interim CEO Janet Lambert, followed by a Land Acknowledgement from Board Director Kelly Lawless. Dixon Hall was also pleased to welcome MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam and Councillor Chris Moise, who shared remarks in support of the organization’s work and the communities it serves.
Speakers reflected on the importance of food access, dignity, care, and connection. Last year, Dixon Hall provided more than half a million healthy and nutritious meals across its programs. These meals supported seniors living independently, families facing rising food costs, youth accessing community programs, and individuals experiencing homelessness or social isolation.

The room was packed full of amazing food and beverages from many talented vendors representing Downtown East. The evening’s entertainment added even more energy to the room, including a breathtaking aerial silks performance by Elizabeth Dawn Snell, presented by Artists’ Play. Guests were also treated to performances from Dixon Hall Music School students, including a beautiful solo of O Mio Babbino Caro by Anna, a Senior Choir member and vocal student.
For nearly a century, Dixon Hall has supported residents of east downtown Toronto. As the rising cost of living continues to affect neighbours across Downtown East Toronto, events like Dixonlicious help ensure people can access nutritious meals when they need them most. Proceeds from Dixonlicious support Dixon Hall’s Food Programs, including Meals on Wheels for house-bound seniors, breakfasts and snacks for children attending summer camps, and nutritious meals for people in Downtown East experiencing food insecurity.
Thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated, volunteered, performed, and helped bring Dixonlicious 2026 to life. Your support helps Dixon Hall continue delivering essential food programs and building a more connected and caring Downtown East Toronto. See you at Dixonlicious 2027!
