Dixon Hall 2026 AGM highlights community impact and continued growth
TORONTO, September 30, 2026: Dixon Hall held its 2026 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, bringing together Board members, staff, volunteers, community members, partners and supporters to reflect on the organization’s work over the past year and look ahead to the year ahead.
Held under the theme “Building Meaningful Change, Together,” the AGM highlighted Dixon Hall’s continued growth in supportive housing and community programs, as well as its ongoing commitment to working with residents and partners across Downtown East Toronto.
“This year has been one of transition, reflection and renewal for Dixon Hall,” said Cameron Scrivens, Board Chair, Dixon Hall. “Meaningful change does not happen in isolation. It takes committed staff and volunteers, engaged partners and supporters, and a Board focused on strong stewardship. Together, we are ensuring Dixon Hall is well positioned for its next chapter.”
The AGM also recognized three community leaders with the Order of Dixon: Lizete Cassule, Xavier “Lucky” Boothe and Jean Goodier, recognizing their longstanding contributions to Dixon Hall and the Downtown East community.
Dixon Hall reported continued growth and financial stability during the 2025–26 fiscal year, with operating revenues of $33.5 million and an operating surplus of $758,130.
“As we look ahead, the needs across Downtown East Toronto continue to evolve, but so does our resolve,” said Janet Lambert, Interim CEO of Dixon Hall. “We will continue to listen to the communities we serve, strengthen partnerships and invest in solutions that help people move from immediate need toward stability, opportunity and belonging.”
The AGM concluded with performances by students from the Dixon Hall Music School.
