Dixon Hall Celebrates Ontario Trillium Foundation Support for Bill Graham Youth Centre Upgrades

Toronto, ON: Last Friday, MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam joined Dixon Hall’s annual ShowLove celebration to recognize the impact of a $71,600 Capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), supporting important upgrades to the Bill Graham Youth Centre. Awarded last summer, the grant will enhance lighting, accessibility, security, and WiFi throughout the Centre, creating a safer, more welcoming, and better-connected space for children and youth in Downtown East Toronto.

“Congratulations to Dixon Hall on your $71,600 Capital grant,” said Kristyn Wong-Tam, MPP for Toronto Centre. “I am confident that this funding will enhance accessibility, security, and connectivity for a more inclusive space for countless youth. Thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for your generous support.”

Interim CEO Janet Lambert highlighted the impact of the investment, emphasizing that it is about more than improving a building. “It is about investing in young people and making sure they have a place where they feel they belong, where they are encouraged, and where they know their community believes in them.”

Located at 51 Wyatt Avenue in the heart of Regent Park, the Bill Graham Youth Centre is a vibrant community hub where children, youth, and families come together to learn, create, and build resilience. Through the Dixon Hall Music School, recreational activities, mentorship, education, and community programs, the Centre supports more than 1,000 children, youth, and families each year.

Thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for its generous support and to MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam for joining us in celebrating this important milestone.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation is an agency of the Ontario government that builds healthy and vibrant communities across the province. In 2025-26, OTF invested nearly $107 million in 746 community projects that strengthen communities by supporting child and youth development, creating welcoming spaces, promoting active lifestyles, and improving economic well-being and sustainability.
