Supporting Your Journey in Canada

Our Settlement Service workers help newcomers adjust to life in Canada by connecting them to social and professional networks and providing the information and resources needed to live and work successfully. 

We support a wide range of newcomers and community members, including Canadian citizens, permanent residents, refugees and protected persons, international students, temporary foreign workers, and visitors. Services are offered in English, Urdu, Saraiki, Bengali, Farsi, and Arabic.

Our Services

We help newcomers access essential services and programs, including:

  • Banking and financial services

  • Housing and settlement resources

  • Healthcare and education services

  • Shopping and daily living supports

  • Cultural and recreational programs

  • English Conversation Sessions

  • Legal information and support services

Through one-on-one meetings and group sessions, newcomers receive guidance on everyday life in Canada, including:

  • Banking and taxes

  • Childcare and school registration

  • Grocery shopping and food preparation

  • Personal safety and policing

  • Canadian values and community life

  • Rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants

We assist clients with completing government forms and applications such as:

  • Permanent Resident Cards

  • Work Permits

  • OHIP applications

  • Citizenship applications

  • Sponsorship applications

  • Child Tax Benefits

  • Other related documentation

Settlement Counsellors provide individualized support for newcomers experiencing challenges adjusting to life in Canada. We also connect clients with specialized services offered by community organizations and government institutions.

We provide information and referrals to employment-related services, including:

  • Job search support

  • Skills training programs

  • Trade or professional certification pathways

  • Recognition of foreign credentials
