Esther’s Story

My name is Esther, I am 15 years old, and I am a Dixon Hall Music School student. I have been learning at the Music School for over eight years. Currently, I am taking piano and classical guitar lessons, and am a part of the senior choir.

The Challenges of COVID-19: A year of Hunger, Hope, and Resilience at Dixon Hall

As we mark the one-year anniversary of the start of our current global pandemic, it is important to reflect on how much and how deeply our community has been affected. Here at Dixon Hall, we are taking a moment to look back at the experiences and challenges that certainly tested us, but that also made us stronger as an organization, and as a community.

Dixon Hall Music School Holiday Concert

To celebrate the end of the 2020 school year, Dixon Hall Music School hosted its first ever virtual recital featuring over 60 performers! We want to extend our gratitude to our amazing teachers, our talented students, and for everyone who came out to support the event, and enjoy a night of music, entertainment and community.

Welcome to the Bill Graham Youth Centre

It is with great joy that we can at last confirm that the construction of our new building is officially complete! And we are thrilled to let you know that the building has been named in honour of the lead donor from our capital campaign.

Neighbours Helping Neighbours

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an enormous impact on Dixon Hall and the many community agencies we work with in the city. No one could have imagined the health crises, the economic turmoil, the stress placed on systems across the city and beyond. And, yet, through this dark time, moments of light and warmth have shone through.
